Join KUT, KUTX & the Downtown Austin Alliance for our 30th Annual Tree Lighting, Sing-Along and Stroll. Let’s ring in the holidays together. This free family-friendly event is on Congress Avenue between 8th and 11th streets. Featuring artisan vendors, food trucks, photos with Santa and more, the Holiday Stroll is the perfect way to kick off your holiday season.

Main Stage Schedule

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Yappy Holidays – Dog Holiday Costume Contest
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Kwanza tribute by the Carter Museum

Children’s Market

Fun for kids from 6 to 14, the Children’s Market features 24 of Ascent Academy Holiday Business fair students.

The Ascent Children's Business Fair aims to create a dynamic, real-world learning environment where children can experience the excitement and challenges of running a business. The Fair empowers children to discover their inner entrepreneur as they develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers to showcase their very own businesses to the public!
