As part of the recommendations included in last year’s Institutional Racism and Systemic Inequities in the Austin region report from the Mayor’s Task Force, Leadership Austin invites community members to participate in their Beyond Diversity Training. The seminar, conducted by Pacific Educational Group, has had over 1,200 individuals participate in the last year. The goal of the training is for business and community leaders from across the region to have a common learning experience and shared language to continue taking steps toward diminishing the impact of institutional racism and systemic inequities across our community.
The Downtown Austin Alliance is honored to have the opportunity to participate in this important training as we work together toward a more equitable community. All of our employees are completing the Beyond Diversity training this summer. We encourage other businesses and organizations to join us! There are still spots available for upcoming training this fall.
