Austin’s Pride parade is never in the traditional Pride Month of June. Here, we celebrate in August to give us two months of festivities. Check out some of the fun ways to celebrate!
Tuesgayz and Queeraoke
Tuesgayz isn’t new but this edition on Tuesday, August 16 is extra special featuring Vanguard: The Drag Revolution hosted by Hermajestie. If you’re prepared to go up on a Tuesday, stay late for Queeraoke at Swan Dive.

Queer Up Charlies
On Friday, August 19, celebrate Cheer Up Charlies as the safe space it is and take a look within for night one of Queer Up Charlies. The inside stage will have performances featuring Benga, Freshtilldef and Grommit with some of the classic DJs on the outside stage to honor chosen family and community.
Highland Pride
Austin PRIDE Parade and Festival
Finally returning after COVID, Austin Pride Parade is here and ready to make it queer! The festival and parade are on Saturday, August 20. Two emcee stages are set up along the route and the parade is free and open to the public.

Fill your cup with good vibes and pride. The event is FREE & starts at 9:30pm.
Sacred Spaces
Sacred Spaces at Cheer Up Charlies is a collaboration with the icon Bobby Johns on Saturday, August 20. The back bar area will transform into a dark bar with dim lighting to remember when the queer community had to hide in the shadows. Expect cosplay bartenders, interactive cruising, old show posters, otherworldly signage and more. The outside stage will feature a drag show with Big Dipper and Meatball with more live sets, drag performances and DJ sets with Christeene, Brigitte Bandit, Gothess Jasmine, Noodles, Harlot, Amber Nicole Davenport, Orya, Scam Likely and Boyfriend ATX.
Euphoric Drag Brunch
Join Vylette Ward and her queen-filled cast at the W Hotel on Sunday, August 21 for the 12pm show or 3pm show. Trace will serve up $2 mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys with brunch while you enjoy the show and support your local queens.
Euphoric Pride Pool Party
Cool off after the parade on Sunday morning from 11am-6pm on the WET deck at the W Hotel. Enjoy specialty cocktails at the wetbar and sets by local DJs while you soak in the pool.
Front Fest
The Front Fest is an end-of-summer festival, featuring performances, films and creative experiences. Future Front puts Texas women and LGBTQ+ creators of all kinds at the front of their lineups. The festival runs from August 25-28 and includes films, music showcases, swim parties and more.
Happy Austin Pride!
