Austin is the proud home of Texas’ first Mr Doodle mural.

Sponsored by KBS and the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation with special thanks to Art + Artisans, Mr Doodle brought his signature ‘Graffiti Spaghetti’ style to the corner of Congress Avenue and East 6th Street in March 2024. The mural features dense, intertwined lines, bringing a playful and dynamic energy to the urban environments of Downtown Austin and inviting viewers into a whimsical world of creativity and imagination.

About the Mural

This mural by London-based artist Mr. Doodle was inspired by his real-life experiences and the making of his film, “The Trouble with Mr Doodle.” The mural is Mr Doodle’s gift to Austin and was painted to celebrate his film, which premiered at the 2024 SXSW Film Festival. Featured in the mural are the film’s directors, Jaimie D’ Cruz and Ed Perkins, along with depictions of Mrs Doodle and the couple’s son.

“Seeing Mr. Doodle's 'Graffiti Spaghetti' come to life on such a grand scale, and knowing it will inspire joy and wonder in the community, fills us with immense pride and excitement. This is more than just a mural; it's a vibrant testament to the power of creativity and collaboration.”

— Jennifer Brener Seay, CEO, Art + Artisans
