Thousands gathered in downtown Austin on December 7 for the 25th anniversary of the Downtown Holiday Stroll! It was a beautiful evening to ring in the holiday season with a night of free, family-friendly festivities. The event filled Congress Avenue with the sights and sounds of the season!
Highlights of this year’s event featured all of our favorite traditions, including the countdown to the downtown tree lighting, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a local artisan holiday market, and live music by a uniquely Austin lineup with performances by Max Frost, Mobley, Alesia Lani, and Love & Chaos! Kids of all ages lined up for the giant snow dome, mini petting zoo, and ornament making. It was truly a night to remember!
In case you missed it, you can watch a video of Fox 7’s Mike Warren and Rebecca Thomas countdown to the lighting of the downtown tree! The tree, sponsored by Fox 7 Austin, is on display at 11th St. and Congress Ave. until January 6.
