Head to 800 Congress to mingle with the Austin Monthly singles during a night of fun and excitement that benefits Austin Pets Alive! Enjoy an open bar with snacks, get pampered by Urban Betty, hop in the kissing booth with some cute pups and watch a live performance from Sir Woman to end the evening.
Enjoy an Oddities Market
If you and your friends are into the spooky vibes or just enjoy weird things, there is a pop up oddities market just in time for you to celebrate. Captain Burton’s Funtime Sideshow Circus will have vendors with the creepy, odd, unique things creepy you will love with live performances happening at Elysium Thursday night on February 10.
Bey vs Bruno
It’s the battle of the music baes, Beyonce versus Bruno Mars at 3Ten. This high-energy live music experience is perfect to enjoy as an early Galentine’s celebration with the girls. Drag Show
If your crew is the anti-love type, the I Am Not Okay Emo Drag at Elysium is for you. Leave the drama to the queens and king of the drag show. Enjoy performances to a mix tape of all your emo love song favorites. Misery loves company, and that company is the girls of Poo Poo Platter with Lousianna Purchase on February 11.
Take a Dance Class at Ballet Austin
Hear us out, dancing with your friends is ridiculously fun. Ballet Austin is hosting not one, but two fun and flirty dance classes for you and your crew to feel your most empowered on Valentine’s Day weekend. Saturday in the am, you can shake your you-know-what off while learning the choreography for Beyonce’s Crazy in Love music video. Sunday night, grab your heels and take a Sexy Heels Dance Workshop. We recommend you all sign up in advance to save your spot.
Mimosas and Dancing
Empire Control Room and Garage is the place to be Saturday night AND Sunday morning. Dress up and dance the night away to FUNK YOU with HoneyMade on Saturday night if you are a group of dancing queens. Then, on Sunday, the nation’s largest mimosa fest graces Austin just in time for Galentine’s Day. If you and your girlies are all about some OJ and champagne, you know you belong here Sunday morning.
Grab Brunch
Brunch is one of our favorite times of the week, and a lunch to celebrate something is even better. We have an entire blog dedicated to brunches downtown, so whether your friends are more of the chicken and waffles type or biscuits and tea ladies, there is a brunch for everyone here.
A few places are even having special brunches just for Galentine’s Day on Sunday, February 13. From 3-10 pm, TRACE will welcome guests with a DJ, $5 glasses of Rose Gold Rosé, a waffle bar with all the toppings your heart desires and fun giveaways! Reservations recommended. The Well will also be hosting a Galentine’s Brunch on Sunday complete with mimosa flights, specialty cocktails, and 50% off bottles of rosé! You can make a reservation through their website.
Upstairs Circus
For the crafty crew, spend this Galantine’s Day at Upstairs Circus on Febuary 13! Order one of their new drink specials, the Twine Flame (a whiskey sour with a kiss of red wine) or the Cupid’s Kiss (a floral bubbly with a twist) and work on crafts together. Cocktails, chats and crafts, we are in!

On Valentine’s Day, head to Violet Crown Cinema for a classic 80’s spin off of Romeo & Juliet, Valley Girl. Two kids from different worlds find each other and fall in love despite the obstacles. Showtime is at 7pm if you want to celebrate on Valentine’s Day.
