Downtown Priority Lanes Painted Red
As part of the Guadalupe/Lavaca street transit improvement project, the City and Capital Metro completed the first red paint lanes last summer. Last week, the Austin Transportation Department began adding paint to the existing transit priority lanes downtown and estimates two months to complete the work.

MetroRail Weekend Service Returns
Saturday service returned Saturday, January 11 and now features all nine MetroRail stations, including Leander Station. MetroRail also added three daily trips and extended service hours. See the Metrorail Schedule!

Project Connect Work Session Updates
During a joint work session, Austin City Council and Capital Metro Board of directors discussed Project Connect updates, a plan to create a high capacity transit system, and options for funding, including a potential public referendum in November.
