Parking Downtown

Parking is readily available and reasonably priced in Downtown.

Curbside Parking

Metered Parking: Metered parking costs $1 per hour and is limited to 2 hours. Parking after 5:30 p.m. and on weekends is free.

Meters take nickels, dimes, and quarters and also accept programmable parking meter cards. The cards can be purchased, for $5, at 1111 Rio Grande and in the Transportation Office on the 8th floor of One Texas Center, 505 Barton Springs Rd. Soon, the City will place vending machines at several downtown locations to make purchase of the cards more convenient. The rechargeable cards can be programmed to hold up to $20 in value.

Customer Service Zones: Parking in these spots is limited to 15 minutes for the use of those who will be zipping in and out of a business.

Commercial Service Zones: Use of Commercial Service Zones is limited to properly signed delivery vehicles.

Enforcement: Please note that the City does enforce parking zones seven days a week.
