Music Under the Star, the popular World Music series, is back for a fourth hot season! This week's music features The Stingers ATX, who have developed their own modern hybrid of Jamaican ska and classic American doo-wop soul: solid roots-reggae rhythms, melodic horn lines, and tight 3- and 4-part vocal harmonies. Set out your camp chairs and blankets (but please no coolers or outside refreshments) under the Star and listen to local artists perform music from around the globe. On-Going Construction Projects

Cesar Chavez Construction
Last year, the Austin Clean Water Project replaced a failing wastewater line under Cesar Chavez. Crews are now connecting buildings to the new pipe.

This work was scheduled to last approximately 30 days and to be done in three phases:

Phase 1: COMPLETE

Phase 2: IN PROGRESS. Two eastbound lanes of West Cesar Chavez are closed from Congress Ave. to the midpoint between Congress and Colorado. This phase is expected to last through July 27.

Phase 3: To begin upon completion of phase 2. Phase 3 will involve closing the parking lane along the north curb and one eastbound travel lane of Chavez from Congress Avenue to the midpoint between Congress and Brazos. Additionally,one northbound lane of Congress Ave.
will be closed beginning just south of Cesar Chavez and will re-open before 2nd Street.
