This prestigious new exhibition features a rich array of European drawings from the late 15th to the mid-19th Century by such masters as Gian Lorenzo Bernini, François Boucher, Edgar Degas, Guercino, and Jean-Antoine Watteau, among others.

The exhibition was organized by the Yale University Art Gallery. The presentation of the exhibition at the Blanton Museum of Art is made possible by the Inman Foundation.


Street Closings/Traffic Flow

Republic of Texas Biker Rally Parade

From 6:00 p.m. on Friday until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, Congress Avenue will be closed between 11th Street and 2nd Street as organizers prepare for a street party and to accommodate 5,000 motorcycles that will take part in the parade. All cross streets, excluding 11th and 2nd, will be closed between Brazos and Colorado.

The parade will leave the Travis County Expo Center at 7:30 p.m. and arrive in Downtown at approximately 8:15 p.m.. Parade Route:
- South on Decker Ln. from Loyola Lane to MLK Blvd.
- West on MLK to Webberville Rd.
- South on Webberville to Springdale Rd.
- South on Springdale to Oak Springs
- West on Oak Springs/E. 11th streets to Congress Ave.

In previous years, motorcyclists started parking on E. 6th around 3:00 p.m. and the 6th St. area had to be close around 8:00 p.m. to accommodate the large crowds.


June 1 ROT Rally Party - Coyote Ugly

Neches Street, between E. 5th St. and E. 6th St., will be closed from 3:00 p.m. on Friday until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday.


June 2 Austin Farmers' Market - Sustainable Food Center

From 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., W. 4th St. will be closed between Guadalupe and San Antonio for the farmers' market.


June 2 Pride Parade - Austin Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce

The parade will begin and end on the Congress Avenue Bridge. The Bridge will be closed from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The parade will go north on Congress to 4th St., west to Guadalupe, south to Cesar Chavez, and east to Congress. The Austin Police Department will close streets ahead of the parade and re-open them after the parade passes.

The Austin Symphony returns with the 5th summer of presenting free ensemble concerts running June 3 - August 26, in the early evening. We are from Vietnam: Family Immigration Stories from Austin, Texas will showcase children?s art depicting Vietnamese immigration to Texas. As part of an oral history project, second and fifth graders from Walnut Creek Elementary School created comic strips and story boxes after interviewing their parents and grandparents who had emigrated from Vietnam to Texas. The artwork documents and celebrates the richness and diversity represented by the immigrant Vietnamese community in Austin. The exhibit will be featured in the Community Gallery through July 31.
