Although her life was tragically cut short in 1998, Marsha Gomez's work, ideas, and actions continue to influence people today.

JackHollingsworth.com will be capturing the face (actually 2,000 faces) of Austin during a 10-day, 10-location shoot that will span the metro area and will include residents, workers, students, onlookers, and visitors from marathons, artist's bazaars, concerts, college campuses, wine and art festivals, coffee shops, yoga classes, flea markets, cookouts, and outdoor family fairs. The goal of this ambitious and unprecedented project is ?to create a snapshot of Austin right now as we grow, mature, and see our city becoming more globally accessible,? says creative genius behind this effort, Jack Hollingsworth, who snaps faces around the world. The resulting photos and a bound book will be donated to the Austin History Center to catalogue this project and a moment in Austin's history. The Race Route:
- Begins on the Congress Avenue Bridge;

- East on 11th St.;
- North on San Jacinto;

- East on Cesar Chavez;
- South on the S. 1st St. Bridge;
- Finish at Auditorium Shores.

The Congress Avenue Bridge and Barton Spings Rd., between Congress and Riverside Drive, will be closed from 4:00 a.m. until noon. Riverside will be closed along Auditorium Shores, west of S. 1st St., from 3:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The police will begin closing other streets at 7:30 a.m. and will re-open them after all runners have passed.
