Guaranteed to be a spine-tingler that will give you a case of the heebie jeebies, the Violet Crown Radio Players will be performing a radio drama adaptation of the William Faulkner short story, "A Rose for Emily." The performance, which will be held in the Charles Nelson Prothro Theater is free, and advance tickets are not available, so get there early! Doors open at 6:30 p.m., but it's recommended that you get there earlier than that to secure a seat.

La Peña Gallery presents ?Voces de Fuego,? an exhibition at to be held Las Manitas Avenue Cafe, celebrating International Women?s Day and Women?s History Month. This year the exhibition features many artists who have exhibited with La Peña over the years. These women have used their art work to represent, share, and preserve a rich cultural heritage as well as use it as a platform to speak out on important issues facing women and minorities. The opening reception will be taking place Friday, March 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

La Peña proudly presents ?Testimonio.? This exhibition showcases the ceramic and sculptural works of artist Marsha Gomez--as well as honoring her life as an artist, activist, art educator, single mother, community organizer for environmental and community rights, and friend to many. Although her life was tragically cut short in 1998, Marsha Gomez's work, ideas, and actions continue to influence people today. Her work will be on display March 8th through August 31st with a reception taking place Friday, March 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

During the late 1950s, Sir Peter Blake became one of the best known British pop artists. His paintings from this time included imagery from advertisements, music hall entertainment, and wrestlers, often including collaged elements. Blake has also painted several notable album sleeves.
