Come celebrate America's 230th birthday with more than 100,000 of your friends and neighbors at Austin's largest and most spectacular Independence Day party, complete with magestic sounds, sights and fun.

The H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks will feature patriotic music and the ever-popular "812 Overture," accompanied by 75-millimeter Howitzer cannons, courtesy of Texas National Guard Salute Battery.

Planned and produced entirely by the Austin Symphony Orchestra, your whole family will ooh and aah as the night sky over Town Lake explodes with a fireworks display like no other. The stage for this celebration will be the northeast triangle of Zilker Park Lou Neff Point.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra will begin performing at 8:30 p.m., and the fireworks show will light up the sky 9:30 - 10:00 p.m.

Come early, bring a picnic, claim a grassy spot and enjoy an evening of patriotic fun. Concessions will be available on site. (Alcohol and glass containers are not permitted in the Park.)

Shuttle Service to Zilker Park will run 4:00 -11:00 p.m. from Waterloo Park near E. 15th St. and Trinity, to the MoPac footbridge over Town Lake at Stephen F. Austin Blvd. Free parking will be available throughout downtown.

From 5:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the outside lanes on Congress will be closed as part of the race route. Traffic will be permitted on Congress and on cross streets but will be impacted as long as runners are on the course.

Cesar Chavez will also be closed at 5:00 a.m. as part of the race route. As part of the traffic management plan for the evening fireworks display, Chavez will remain closed until approximately 9:00 p.m.
