Ride Capital Metro to work? Look for the "Pink Dot Prize Patrol" on April 7th & 1oth. The ?Pink Dot Prize Patrol? will randomly board Express, Limited and downtown ?Dillo routes during heavy commuting times on Friday, April 7 and Monday, April 10 to give away 25 pairs of tickets to the DOWNTOWN Launch Premiere party being held at the Paramount Theater on Tuesday, April 11. To be eligible for prizes, bus riders must approach the prize patrol members and say, ?I want to go downtown,? or ask about the promotion. The ?Pink Dot Prize Patrol? will wear hats with pink dots so riders can easily spot them.

By the Hand of the Father got its start in Austin and now its back! The critically acclaimed musical play by Theresa Chavez, Eric Gutierrez and Rose Portillo and Alejandro Escovedo is inspired by the lives of five immigrant fathers who were among the first generation of true Mexican-Americans. This performance marks Escovedo's triumphant return to the stage after being diagnosed with Hepatitis C. After the performance, you'll be treated with a special concert. Great night here.

Street Closings

Apr 7 and 8 The 79th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

The track meet will take place on the UT campus on April 5th - April 8th. Several streets will be closed on Friday April 8th and Saturday April 9th to accommodate the large crowds expected on East 6th Street:

- E. 6th will be barricaded between Brazos St. and the IH-35 frontage road.
- The 6th St. underpass will be closed to westbound traffic at the east frontage road.
- San Jacinto, Trinity, Neches, Red River, and Sabine will be closed between E. 5th St. and E. 7th St.
- Northbound and southbound exit ramps from IH-35 to E. 6th St. will be closed. (TxDOT will place signboards on IH-35 to inform motorists of the closure.)

Exact times the street closures begin depends on the size of the crowds, but the Austin Police Department expects to put up barricades at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
