The City of Austin Economic Growth & Redevelopment Services Office's Cultural Arts Division is proud to announce the installation of the Second Annual City Hall Art Exhibition. The People's Gallery at Austin City Hall is designed to showcase regional artistic endeavors and to encourage public dialogue, understanding and enjoyment of visual art.

The many examples of local artistic talent enhance the public spaces inside City Hall, which stands as a work of art in itself. This exhibition The artwork will be on display through February, 2007.

Asleep at the Wheel helps Ballet Austin Kick-off Renovation of Future Home! Dancin' in the District celebrates the renovation launch of The Butler Dance Education Center, Ballet Austin's new home.

As a cornerstone arts organization moving into the Arts & Entertainment District in the heart of downtown, Ballet Austin is throwing a free celebratory festival. So join in this afternoon of family-friendly fun complete with face-painting and arts activities for the kids, food and drink for the grown-ups, a silent auction benefiting Ballet Austin Academy and an Asleep at the Wheel concert for everyone to enjoy.

The Ransom Center has been paying tribute to one of America's theatrical legends, whose wisdom and guidance has nurtured some of the country's greatest stars. Stella Adler and the American Theater Signatures Series honors the lady who brought method acting front and center stage. This special presentation of Arthur Penn's Bonnie and Clyde (1967) features the Adler acting of Warren Beatty. Mar 4 Temple Inland Fun Walk for Ronald McDonald House

For over fifteen years, Ronald McDonald House and the employees of Temple-Inland have come together to make life easier for families experiencing the need for a home away from home. Temple-Inland has dedicated one month a year for the sole purpose of raising funds to help out families with critically ill or injured children receiving care in Austin area medical centers. The culmination of their fundraising activities is the annual Fun Walk (See street closings for additional details).

The Ronald McDonald Run run will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Cesar Chavez and San Jacinto Street.

The route:
- West on Cesar Chavez from San Jacinto to Congress
- North on Congress to 11th
- East on 11th to San Jacinto
- North on San Jacinto to 15th
- East on 15th to Red River
- South on Red River to 12th
- West on 12th to San Jacinto
- South on San Jacinto to the finish at Cesar Chavez

Participants in this event will use the northbound lanes of Congress, while participants in the Texas Independence Day Run will use the Southbound lanes. Congress will be closed, and traffic on cross streets will be delayed until there are no runners remaining on Congress. Other streets on the route will only be partially closed; traffic on cross streets will be delayed until runners have passed.

The event will be over by 11:00 a.m.

The Congress Ave. Bridge will close at 7:00 for the staging of the parade. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and proceed up Congress to the Capitol grounds. Congress and all cross streets will be closed for the parade and will re-open to traffic as the end of the parade passes. All streets should be re-opened by noon.
