Featured Event

Jan 21-Mar 12 The Gospel of Lead:
Dario Robleto and Jeremy Blake
Arthouse at the Jones Center, 700 Congress Avenue
(512) 453-5312, arthousetexas.org

Join the artists of an amazing new exhibit - The Gospel of Lead: Dario Robleto and Jeremy Blake - opening this week at the Arthouse at the Jones Center during an Artist Talk at 3:00 p.m. at Arthouse.

Los Angeles-based Jeremy Blake has made a name for himself in the art world and beyond with his beautiful, complex digital animations, which might be best described as time-based color-field paintings. His work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and in group shows around the country and in the feature film Punch-Drunk Love.

Dario Robleto, who lives and works in San Antonio, crafts objects that collapse time and space through the juxtaposition of precious, sentimental and arcane materials. His most recent work has appeared at the FRAC in Montpelier, France and the Whitney Museum of Contemporary Art, New York among other national galleries.

You'll want to see this provocative show!
