Sep 16 Sixth Street For Bourbon Street
sixthstreetforbourbonstreet.org

Now here is a really terrific way to do your part. Sixth Street For Bourbon Street (which probably won't actually be held on Sixth Street) will include an all-star line-up of music, including the likes of Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel, Marcia Ball and Delbert McClinton. Other great national and local acts will also be on hand.

The event was to have been held on Sixth Street, but due to logistical problems, the location is still being confirmed. So, stay tuned.

Music starts at 2:00 p.m. and runs until 10:00 p.m.

The goal is to raise $250,000. The Austin Community Foundation will oversee the fundraising to ensure 100% of these funds are accounted for in providing effective relief for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

All proceeds will be donated to: American Red Cross of Central Texas, Foundation Communities and Back Beat Fund (10% of concert revenue).

Check in with sixthstreetforbourbonstreet.org to learn final details.
