Bat your wings to this celebration of Austin arts and bats. Two stages of live music, 150 arts & crafts booths, carnival, educational displays, celebrity bat breakfast and 2 million Mexican Free-tail Bats!

You name it and The Batfest will have it! Outdoor vendors will cook and sell everything from Shrimp on a Stick to Hot Dogs and French Fries. You'll also find Funnel Cakes, Lemonade, Cajun, Creole, Mexican, Chinese, Greek, and Italian. Of course you'll find the usual Festival fare like Cotton Candy, Roasted Corn, BBQ, Turkey Legs, and Ice Cold Beer (for those 21+ of course). Bring an appetite and a taste for fun!

Live music will be featured during the Batfest. Local and national touring bands will perform continually throughout both days of the Festival. The entertainment possibilities include a huge variety of musical styles suited to everyone's taste.

Admission: $3 per day. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Bat Conservation International. All ages welcome. Saturday - 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.; Sunday - 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Street Closings

Batfest
The Congress Avenue Bridge will be closed from 3 a.m. Saturday, September 3 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday September 4 for Batfest. All activities will take place on the bridge.

Farmers Market
On Saturday, September 4, West 4th Street will be closed between Guadalupe and San Antonio for the Farmers Market. The closing will be in effect between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
