It’s been three months since the City of Austin launched its pilot program allowing dockless mobility companies to launch services in Austin. Dockless mobility systems consist of devices, such as bicycles or scooters, that do not require fixed docking stations for users to receive or return units.
Since the pilot program launched in May, seven dockless companies with scooters, bicycles, and electric bikes have been licensed to operate in Austin. Austin Transportation is working with these operators to continuously improve performance and safety protocols during the pilot. The City is currently engaging the community to get input on the Dockless Mobility Program through a brief online survey.
Join us for breakfast to learn how the pilot is going and what's ahead for dockless mobility from the team at Austin Transportation.
