Join us for a celebration of The Downtown You Will Always Love at our first annual Future of Downtown event on April 30. Be the first to hear findings from our new State of Downtown report while enjoying some of the city’s best food, drinks, and live entertainment. In addition to insights on economic trends, guests will learn about the community’s vision for the future of downtown—and how we are going to get there.

Take a step into the future with our unique VR experience. As the goggles fo on, guests will be transported into a virtual world representing the future of Austin mobility.

The future of downtown will certainly feature welcoming, engaging places for all to enjoy. Guests can participate with this idea directly when they fill in a life size scene from Becca Borrelli’s Austin Coloring Book. A coloring page will be enlarged and adhered to a free standing wall, allowing guests to recreate an iconic Austin view with crayons, markers and colored pencils.

More event highlights include:

  • First-ever State of Downtown economic development report released
  • Dynamic speakers to be announced soon
  • Live art installation by local artist Becca Borelli & VR experience
  • Local food & drinks by Elm Restaurant Group

Tickets are now on sale. Attendees will leave with a complimentary copy of our State of Downtown report.
