While this is not an absolute beginning class, the drop-in beginning 1 ballet class for adults is open to anyone to come in and give it a try! It is taught at a beginning level.

The class includes basic ballet vocabulary and steps, barre work at a more beginning level, and an introduction to dancing center floor.

Live piano accompaniment and an open and welcoming instructor.

This class is recommended for those with a small amount of ballet knowledge and up to 2 or 3 years experience. This class is also recommended to adults who danced as a child, and it's a great place to start if it has been awhile since your last ballet class. But anyone is welcome.

Drop in to beginning ballet a couple of times and see if this is the right level. The nature of the drop-in ballet classes allow you to move around until you find the class that best fits your needs.

The next level of drop-in class after Beginning 1 level is the Beginning 2 (Elementary level). If you prefer to start at the absolute beginning, we recommend the Absolute Beginning Ballet Workshop

Dress code: Leotard and tights are great but you can also wear a T-shirt or wrap sweater and sweatpants, shorts, or a skirt. Ballet technique shoes are recommended.
