Pilates has become very popular and for good reason. Pilates is all about; core strength, flexibility, and posture. Pilates can be done on a mat on the floor or on a machine (the reformer).
Working against resistance is essential to the Pilates exercises, but you can accomplish this using either a mat, where your own body weight and/or a thera-band create resistance, or on a reformer, where pulleys and springs create resistance.
This Pilates workshop is on the mat, and will introduce you to the basics of Pilates, teach you how to do it correctly, and will provide an affordable option to get you started with Pilates.
At the completion of the workshop you will not only feel the benefits, you will be ready to move on to other Pilates-based classes with correct technique, and may want to give the Pilates Reformer a try.
Mat exercises are adaptable to any fitness level which makes this course for great option for anyone.
Pilates mats are provided for use during class time.
