Committees
Arts & Entertainment Marketing Committee
Chair: Marshall Jones, The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas
Staff Liaison: Melissa Barry
The Arts & Entertainment Marketing Committee promotes Downtown as the destination for arts, culture and entertainment through collateral materials, public communications and event sponsorships. This committee also works to present the Holiday Sing-Along and Downtown Stroll.

Parks Committees

This committee is composed of stakeholders who work to revitalize the historic Downtown squares — Republic Square, Brush Square, and Wooldridge Square, as well as Old Bakery and other city parkland and green spaces. The committee meets jointly with the Downtown committee of the Austin Parks Foundation.

Security & Maintenance Committee
Chair: Laura Gass, Texas Association of REALTORS
Staff Liaison: Bill Brice
The Security and Maintenance Committee brings together stakeholders in periodic to address issues related safety and cleanliness in the Downtown Public Improvement District. Issues include:
- Monitoring and addressing crime trends
- Policing and police strategies
- Community policing and community prosecution initiatives
- Alcoholic beverage issues
- Public order issues

Streetscapes & Mobility Committee
Chair: Eddie Burns, Austin American-Statesman
Staff Liaison: Thomas Butler
The Downtown Austin Alliance's Streetscapes and Transportation Committee is committed to enhancing the pedestrian experience through the implementation of the Great Streets Master Plan and to improving access and mobility in Downtown Austin. Issues include parking, transit, sidewalks, and congestion management.
